Police are searching for two men they believe are responsible for at least 30 burglaries since July in a small section of the city.

Most of the burglaries occurred between Rosecrans and Marine avenues and Sepulveda Boulevard and Blanche Drive--about a tenth of the city’s area, said Detective Steve Caros. Manhattan Beach overall had 82 burglaries in the same period, he said.

The two suspects are described as 20 to 25, men of Mexican heritage with dark complexions, black hair, brown eyes and medium builds, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 140 to 145 pounds. One has curly hair and the other has straight hair.

One woman saw the suspects as they were climbing through the window of her Rosecrans home, Caros said. When confronted, the men asked her if she wanted her lawn cut, but ran away when she went to call police.
