A frantic Lynwood mother managed to revive her 18-month-old daughter, who was pulled unconscious from a backyard pool, after getting instructions over the telephone from a sheriff’s deputy. Lenet Pevey dialed the 911 emergency number and reached the Lynwood Sheriff’s Station, where Deputy Kathleen Wade calmed her and told her how to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation to the baby, Jermaine Poplar, who was not breathing. The child was conscious and crying loudly by the time paramedics arrived.
