Jurors in the drug and weapons trial of former New York Yankee first baseman Joe Pepitone and two co-defendants deliberated for more than seven hours without reaching a verdict and are to resume deliberations this morning in state Supreme Court in Brooklyn.
Acting State Supreme Court Justice Alan Marrus told the jurors they would have to decide whether Pepitone, Thomas Carbone, 52, and Robert Oates, 47, acted in concert, and whether they all participated in sale of drugs and use of the gun found in the car in which the three were arrested on March 18, 1985.
