UCLA Women Defeat Arizona in Volleyball; USC (0-7) Loses Again
Outside hitters Jenny Crocker and Wendy Fletcher each recorded 12 spikes to lead No. 6-ranked UCLA to a 15-5, 15-12, 15-6 Pacific 10 Conference women’s volleyball victory over Arizona at the John Wooden Center Saturday night.
UCLA improved its record to 7-2 overall and 3-0 in the conference.
The Bruins will play host to No. 8-ranked Arizona State at 5 p.m. today.
Christy Nore had nine spikes as Arizona State swept past winless USC, 15-2, 15-8, 9-15, 15-8, in a Pac-10 match at the North Campus Gym.
Nancy Hillman had 14 spikes and 17 digs for the Trojan women.
Arizona State is 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the conference, while USC slipped to 0-7 overall and 0-4 in the Pac-10.
