America’s War on Drugs
Congratulations to Morse for his article on the pernicious effects on society of the manner in which we are going about the war on drugs. He eloquently illustrates the old adage that morality cannot be legislated. While his opinion may be an unpopular one in the face of such an emotional issue, it is nevertheless a logical one.
I would, however, make one addendum to Morse’s proposal. While decriminalizing “drugs” for adults, I would stiffen the penalties for anyone selling or distributing them to children.
