In what federal drug agents called “the largest cocaine seizure ever made on the California-Mexico border,” U.S. Border Patrol agents confiscated a pick-up truck carrying 1,285 pounds of the drug--with an estimated street value of $57 million. Two trucks, including one described as a “scout” vehicle by authorities, were seized in an isolated area in eastern San Diego County. Federal authorities said the driver of the truck containing the cocaine, Noel Armando Aispuro of Rosemead, was booked for investigation of various drug charges. The driver of the alleged scout truck, Manuel de Jesus Zazueta-Beltran, was held on suspicion of being an illegal alien.
