Center Brian Rodoni of Brigham Young, who had been undergoing tests for a possible tumor in his brain, has a liquid-filled cyst instead, Coach LaVell Edwards said.
Rodoni, a 6-foot 4-inch junior from Los Banos, Calif., has been suffering from headaches for several months. A biopsy was scheduled this week, but doctors in Salt Lake City canceled it after additional tests revealed the cyst.
“Brian’s condition will continue to be monitored, and he will be examined again in a couple of weeks,” Edwards said.
Edwards said he was uncertain whether Rodoni would be able to play football again.
