2 Killed, 2 Seriously Injured in Shootings in Crenshaw District
At least two people were killed and two others were seriously wounded Saturday night in a shooting in the Crenshaw District, police said.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting in the 2600 block of south Longwood Avenue, authorities said. Paramedics transported three other shooting victims to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center about 8:35 p.m., said Los Angeles City Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells.
One of the men was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital, said hospital spokeswoman Paula Correia.
One of the other victims had multiple gunshot wounds to his body and neck, while the third man was suffering from abrasions apparently caused by a blunt object, she said.
Police did not release the names of the victims, but hospital officials said the two survivors appeared to be in their late 20s.
Police said they could not immediately determine a motive for the shootings.
