Local News in Brief : Coyote Facts Offered to Homeowner Groups
“All About Coyotes,” an educational workshop for people living near coyote habitats, is available this fall to homeowner and other community groups, the Mountains Restoration Trust has announced.
The workshop, conducted by wildlife biologist Jeff Franklin, will consist of a 30-to 60-minute presentation, followed by questions and answers on the habits of coyotes, protection of house pets and other aspects of human-coyote coexistence.
Groups interested in the booking the program, which carries a nominal charge, or obtaining more information can contact Marcia Harris at the Mountains Restoration Trust in Malibu.
The trust is a private, nonprofit corporation dedicated to preserving the character of the Santa Monica Mountains.
