A 23-year-old man was arrested Friday on suspicion of killing his girlfriend in her San Diego apartment, police said.
San Diego police found Rose Christine Gonzales, 18, dead from a single bullet wound in her head when they arrived at her apartment in the 1900 block of K Street, a police spokesman said.
Sheriff’s deputies in Ramona arrested Dionicio A. Munoz, 23, and booked him on suspicion of murder a few hours after the 6:30 a.m. shooting.
Police were called to the scene after neighbors reported hearing shots being fired in the apartment.
