High spirits over a homecoming football game led to arrest for 22 high school students in Hacienda Heights. Sheriff’s deputies said they found a crowd of teen-agers dumping shredded newspapers, uprooting traffic signs and committing other acts of vandalism in apparent celebration of the 42-0 victory of Los Altos High School over La Mirada High School. The 22 juveniles were turned over to their parents after being booked on suspicion of vandalism. Lawrence Vasquez, 18 of Hacienda Heights, who also was arrested, was released on his own recognizance after being booked. “Just good red-blooded, all-American kids trying to find a little excitement,” Deputy Kenneth Gilstrap said. “It just got a little out of hand.”
