A Hollywood woman was accidentally shot and killed when she went to the wrong apartment in an attempt to help a friend who was involved in a domestic dispute, police said. Robin Ann Fowler, 35, died after paramedics found her bleeding from a gunshot wound in the hallway of an apartment building. Police said she and a male companion had tried to enter an apartment where a 23-year-old hotel security guard was asleep with his girlfriend on the mistaken assumption that a friend of theirs was inside. The guard ordered them to leave and drew his pistol, police said, and when Fowler crashed into the door, the weapon accidentally discharged. The guard was not held.
