Final Chess Game Is Draw

Champion Gary Kasparov and challenger Anatoly Karpov agreed to a draw Thursday without resuming play in the adjourned 24th game of the World Chess championship, giving Kasparov a final series victory with a score of 12 1/2 to 11 1/2.

The draw officially ends the championship series that began two years ago and has included three separate matches in the Soviet Union and Britain.
