Lakers to Play Bulls in Exhibition at Forum
The Lakers will return to the Forum for the first time since last May’s NBA playoff loss to Houston when they open their exhibition schedule tonight at 7:30 against the Chicago Bulls.
Rookie guard Dale Blaney, the Lakers’ fourth-round draft choice, left the team Thursday morning, telling General Manager Jerry West and Coach Pat Riley that he would not be back. He gave no reason. West had said earlier in the week that the 6-5 guard from West Virginia had a good chance of making the team.
