Anaheim : Estranged Husband Held in Wife’s Death

Share

A woman was shot to death early Friday in her Anaheim apartment, and her estranged husband was arrested on suspicion of murder, police said.

Joni Lynn Bradshaw, 25, was found dead at 2 a.m. in her apartment in the 1100 block of Leisure Court, Anaheim Police Sgt. John Haradon said. He said Bradshaw, who was wearing nightclothes, had been shot several times.

William Michael Bradshaw, 37, arrived at the Anaheim police station 90 minutes later, Haradon said. After a brief interrogation, Haradon said, Bradshaw was arrested and booked at the Anaheim City Jail, where he was being held late Friday on $250,000 bail.

Police said they weren’t sure what prompted the shooting.

Neighbors had called police to report they heard shots being fired from the apartment, which the couple had once shared. They had not heard any argument, Haradon said.

The couple was “going through the process of divorce,” Haradon said, and William Bradshaw was living in Placentia. Bradshaw listed no occupation with police and said he was disabled, according to Haradon.
