More than half the teams in the National Football League say they would vote to retain the controversial instant replay system, Newsday reported.
Those in favor in the Newsday poll were Atlanta, Cleveland, Dallas, Detroit, Green Bay, Houston, Indianapolis, Miami, Minnesota, New England, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa Bay and Washington.
Those against were the Rams, New York Giants, Kansas City, St. Louis, Philadelphia, Denver and Cincinnati. Uncommitted or not commenting were the Raiders, New York Jets, Pittsburgh, New Orleans, Chicago and Buffalo.
NFL owners meet Tuesday at Chicago and are expected to discuss the situation. A 28-0 vote is necessary to kill an existing bylaw in midseason.
