Lakers Will Face Ewing and the Knicks Tonight

The Lakers, coming off a 123-104 exhibition victory over Chicago, will meet the New York Knicks tonight at 7:30 in their final Forum exhibition.

Patrick Ewing, who has already complained of minor injuries, will start at center for the Knicks. Power forward Bill Cartwright, who missed most of the last two seasons with severe foot injuries, appears to be healthy and will also play tonight. But Bernard King, the NBA scoring champion in 1984-85, still has not fully recuperated from knee surgery and is expected to be out until December.
