Bill Donakowski ran through rain and cold to win the men’s division of the Twin Cities Marathon in 2 hours 10 minutes 40 seconds at St. Paul, Minn.
Donakowski dropped one minute off his personal best time as he qualified for the 1987 World Championship team in Rome next summer.
Kim Rosenquist of Spokane, Wash., ran a controlled race to win the women’s portion of the marathon. Rosenquist finished in 2:32.33, a course record.
