A California man on what appeared to be a Las Vegas vacation with his family was arrested in his Caesars Palace hotel room after he allegedly robbed a savings and loan office of $60,000, police said. Lance Cameron Moore, 28, of Mammoth Lakes asked detectives not to arrest his wife and three sons after officers entered his hotel room. Police said they did not think Moore’s wife was aware of the robbery until after the arrest. An armed man matching Moore’s description entered a Nevada Savings & Loan branch, threatened the manager and filled a backpack with money before fleeing in a red Jeep. Police spotted the Jeep in the Strip hotel’s parking lot and went to Moore’s room after learning that the car’s owner was registered there. Officers recovered the money and a pellet gun in the Jeep.
