San Diego
An 18-year-old San Diego State University student said a man dragged her into some bushes and attempted to rape her Tuesday night as she was leaving class, but she screamed and scared off her assailant, university officials said.
The incident occurred in the area between Library East and Aztec Center, and there are no witnesses or a description of the man, officials said.
Officials said there are no apparent similarities between Tuesday’s attack and an incident reported Monday night involving a woman who said she was raped in an alley in the 5600 block of Montezuma Road.
There were three rapes reported at the university in September, one other this month and another in Nov. 15, 1985.
