Taisuke Kodama of Japan won the Peking International Marathon in the third-best time ever.
Kodama’s time of 2 hours 7 minutes 35 seconds ranks behind Carlos Lopes of Portugal (2:07:12) and Steve Jones of Wales (2:07:13), and ahead of the best time this year--2:07:51 by Rob de Castella of Australia in the Boston Marathon.
Kunimitsu Ito of Japan finished second in 2:07:57, and Juma Ikangaa of Tanzania was third in 2:09:39.
