Raymond Floyd rolled in a six-foot par putt on the first extra hole Sunday to win the $556,000 Walt Disney World tournament in a playoff with Lon Hinkle and Mike Sullivan at Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Hinkle and Sullivan missed putts for par on the No. 15 par-3 hole.

All three shot 71 to finish regulation play tied at 275, 13 under par on the 7,190-yard Magnolia course.

It was Floyd’s 21st career victory and it was worth $90,000, which put him at $365,948 this year, the fourth straight year that Floyd has won more than $300,000.

“I felt pretty fortunate just getting into the playoff,” said Floyd, who sank an 18-foot birdie putt on No. 18. “It isn’t often you win a playoff with a par putt.”

Floyd, Sullivan and Hinkle started the final round tied for second at 204, two strokes behind leader Payne Stewart. Stewart shot a two-over-par 74 and finished in a three-way tie for fourth with Gary Koch and Pat McGowan.

Sullivan and Hinkle collected $44,000 each.

Butch Baird shot a two-under-par 69 to win the $200,000 Cuyahoga International seniors tournament at Hilton Head Island, S.C.

Baird, who is in his first year on the PGA Seniors Tour, finished four strokes ahead of Chi Chi Rodriguez at 210 for 54 holes. Baird earned $30,000. Rodriguez, who shot a final-round 67, collected $18,000.

Joe Jiminez was third at 217.

Greg Norman of Australia shot a two-over-par 73, but it was good enough to win the $80,000 New South Wales Open championship by five shots at Sydney, Australia.

The victory was Norman’s fifth straight. He finished with a nine-under par total of 275, ahead of Lyndsay Stephen of Australia, who was second at 280. Steve Elkington of Australia, a former All-American at the University of Houston, was third at 281.

“Today was my worst lapse of concentration in two years,” Norman said.

At Paris, France, Severiano Ballesteros and Bernhard Langer were pronounced co-winners of the $250,000 Lancome Trophy tournament after their playoff was stopped because of darkness.

Ballesteros of Spain and Langer of West Germany collected $39,400 each after playing four extra holes. Langer forced the playoff by sinking a seven-foot birdie putt on No. 18 for a 70 that tied Ballesteros at 274, 14 under par.

Ballesteros, who shot a 69, led Langer by four strokes after six holes, but the West German closed within one with a birdie on No. 14, then tied it at No. 18.

“It was really too dark to continue playing, and I believe that this was the fairest possible decision,” Langer said.

Des Smyth of Ireland was third at 275.
