Long Beach Boat Show to Open

Boats for novice sailing enthusiasts will be displayed at the 18th Southern California International Sailboat Show at the Long Beach Convention Center. The 12 to 15 entry-level boats will be in the front lobby during the show, Saturday through Nov. 22. In addition to more than 250 sailboats up to 55 feet in length, the show will include 300 booths with accessories and displays. The show is open 3-10 p.m. weekdays, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays.
The brig Pilgrim in Dana Point Harbor will be open for public tours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. In addition, a continental breakfast will be served on board. Price of the tours is $1 for children, $2 adults, with breakfast at $3. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Sea Scouts of Dana Harbor.
The American Institute of Astronautics and the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers will gather for the 16th Annual Ancient Interface Symposium on the Queen Mary, Long Beach, Saturday and Sunday.
