West Los Angeles : Alzheimer’s Drug to Be Tested

The Veterans Administration is looking for senior citizens age 55 to 75 for a study of a potential new drug for treating the early symptoms of Alzheimer’s Disease. The treatment is expected to work only for mild memory and thinking impairments.

Participants must be living at home and have no other major medical problems. Non-veterans may participate, but must have a complete medical work-up by their own physician.

The free outpatient study requires at least six visits to the West Los Angeles VA office during a 14-week period. To apply or obtain more information, call 824-4307.
