A 25-year-old man, arrested Wednesday on suspicion of kidnaping and assaulting a 9-year-old Santee girl last weekend, will be arraigned Monday, authorities said.
Bail was set at $1 million for David William Turner of El Cajon. He is being held in County Jail on suspicion of 10 counts of kidnaping, false imprisonment and molestation, a jail spokesman said.
Sheriff’s Sgt. Greg Reynolds said Turner was arrested at a house on Dehesa Road near El Cajon that matched a description given by Kelly Yette, who was abducted near her home on Carlton Oaks Drive Saturday evening and found by a motorist about 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
Reynolds said a sheriff’s deputy spotted a vehicle that matched Yette’s description of the vehicle used in the abduction, and the driver resembled the composite drawing of the suspect. A check of the vehicle’s license number led deputies to the house where Turner was arrested, he said.
