A man jailed in connection with last week’s abduction and assault of a 9-year-old Santee girl faces additional charges in connection with a kidnaping-rape case involving an 18-year-old woman.

A spokesman for the El Cajon Police Department said Friday that David William Turner, 25, of El Cajon faces two counts of rape and one count each of kidnaping, assault with a deadly weapon and false imprisonment in connection with an attack on the woman.

Turner is County Jail downtown in lieu of $1 million bail. His bail was raised from $67,569 Thursday by Municipal Judge Frederic Link at the request of prosecutors.

According to the spokesman, a man forced the woman into his station wagon as she walked in the 1500 block of East Washington Avenue in El Cajon about 9 p.m. Oct. 20. The woman told investigators she had stopped in the area to use a public phone.

The man drove the woman to his home, raped her twice and forced her to stay overnight, and when she attempted to escape, hit her on the head with a metal pipe, the spokesman said. The following day, the man dropped the woman off in the area where he had picked her up, the spokesman said.

The vehicle described by the woman was similar to that described by the Santee girl, authorities said.

In the Santee case, the girl was lured from her Carlton Oaks Drive home last Saturday by a man who told her he wanted to play hide and seek, according to police.
