Paramount Buys New 15-Seat Bus
PARAMOUNT —
The city recently bought a new 15-passenger bus for about $37,000.
The bus replaces a 12-seat bus in the city’s five-vehicle dial-a-ride transit system.
The Paramount Neighborhood Shuttle averages about 220 passengers a day with a fare of 50 cents for one-way trips, and free to senior citizens, said Patrick West, deputy assistant city manager.
The transit program is funded by money from Proposition A, the half-cent county sales tax for transit projects.
