It’s the UCLA Alumni Who Now Seem to Be Doing the Worrying

Call it a self-fulfilling prophecy. His Rose Bowl team returned virtually intact, along with a passel of speedy running backs. Other than Washington, he played all of the Pac-10 contenders at home. With a fifth-year senior at quarterback, it almost looked like a setup, a pat hand for Terry Donahue.
But the hand looked too perfect and Donahue was worried, so worried they dubbed him the Wizard of Worry. In fact, he continued to worry, worrying UCLA out of the Rose Bowl, and most likely any other venerable bowl.
And now the alumni are worried. They are worried about the future of Terry Donahue and his program at UCLA.
