London’s Royal Garden Hotel, next to Kensington Palace, celebrated its 20th anniversary with the dedication of a time capsule on Nov. 12. Officiating was Patrick Lichfield, the fifth Earl of Lichfield, and the hotel’s managing director, James Brown. The event coincided with ribbon-cutting ceremonies dedicating renovations at the hotel.
“Indonesia, Green Island in a Blue Sea” is the topic of a lecture to be given by Charles W. Noah on Thursday at 1 p.m. at Burton Chace Park community building, west end of Mindanao Way, Marina del Rey. The free event is sponsored by the Venice Community Adult School.
