The wreckage of a single-engine Cessna 150 was found Friday near the top of Lookout Peak, and officials reported finding two bodies believed to be Lancaster men missing in a plane since Monday.

The plane was found near the top of the 8,200-foot mountain at 2:55 p.m. by a search and rescue team after fog grounded air search teams, Kern County sheriff’s spokesman Randy Raymond said.

The aircraft is believed to be one that took off from Fox Field in Lancaster Monday morning and was last seen a few hours later when it left Kernville Airport near Lake Isabella, Raymond said.

Antelope Valley sheriff’s deputies reported earlier this week that Victor Farah, 24, and James Reardon, 27, were aboard the plane that left Fox Field Monday.

The Kern County coroner was en route to the scene to confirm the identity of the pilot and passenger, Raymond said.
