A National Collegiate Athletic Assn. committee agreed to reduce the ineligibility of Kansas State University basketball star Norris Coleman from 27 games to 14, meaning he would miss the first 12 games of the 1986-87 season.
The ruling is conditional on Kansas State forfeiting games it won last season in which Coleman played and on Coleman’s repaying the financial aid he received while ineligible.
The Wildcats finished 16-14. Coleman played in all 16 victories.
