Brea : Residents Can Apply for Boards, Commissions
Residents wishing to join a city board or commission have ample opportunity to apply for 23 positions that soon will become vacant.
Beginning Jan. 1, the City Council will make appointments to the Brea Foundation, the city’s Planning Commission, the Parks, Recreation and Human Resources Commission, the Cultural Arts Commission and the Human Services Commission.
With the exception of the Brea Foundation, which will have three openings, the other groups each will have five openings. All will cover a term from Jan. 1, 1987, through Dec. 31, 1988.
The deadline for applying is Dec. 1, city officials said.
Applications can be obtained at the city clerk’s office in the Brea Civic Cultural Center, No. 1 Civic Center Circle.
