Huntington Beach : Police Release Sketch of Man Sought in Rapes
Police on Wednesday released a composite sketch of a man they believe is responsible for three rapes in the city since early October.
The rapist is described as 18 to 24 years old, 5-feet-10 to six feet tall, thin to medium build, with brown, wavy hair, Police Lt. Ed McErlain said. All of the victims have been attacked in the early morning in apartments within 1 1/2 miles of each other.
The first two attacks, on Oct. 6 and Nov. 11, were near the intersection of Newland Street and Talbert Avenue. The latest assault, last Friday, was near Magnolia Street and Garfield Avenue, McErlain said.
Each time, the rapist has broken into the apartments and has been armed with a knife, McErlain said. Family members were asleep in the apartments in the last two attacks, he said.
