A second teen-ager died from drinking wood alcohol passed off as moonshine at a party in Del City, Okla., authorities said. Kevin Elder, 17, died at a Plano, Tex., hospital, police said. John Lowery, 19, of Oklahoma City remained in custody on a second-degree murder complaint in the Friday death of a party-goer. Two more people were still hospitalized. Consumption of methanol can shut down the liver and kidneys. It can also cause blindness and sometimes death. The latest victim was not at the party but obtained the methanol in Texas from another youth who got it from Lowery, police said.
