Women’s Basketball Roundup : Long Beach Routs Arizona State, 106-69

Penny Toler, a sophomore guard, scored 24 points to lead Cal State Long Beach to a 106-69 victory over Arizona State in a nonconference game at Long Beach.
Cheryl Dowell and Shameil Coleman added 21 points apiece for the seventh-ranked 49ers (2-1). Guard Patti Peppler scored 18 points to lead the Sun Devils (2-1).
The 49ers outrebounded the Sun Devils, 50-30. Dowell had 11 rebounds and Coleman 9 for Long Beach. The 49ers play at Oregon Friday.
UCLA 71, Pepperdine 57--Dora Dome scored 17 of her game-high 20 points in the second half to lead the Bruins to the victory at Firestone Fieldhouse.
Dome, a junior guard, was only 9 of 19 from the field but made 8 of 11 in the second half when the Waves cut UCLA’s lead to three points. The Bruins are 2-0. Pepperdine is 1-2.
