A Van Nuys woman was in critical condition and her husband was in fair condition after their small plane crashed in a grain field near Twin Falls Airport in Idaho. Pilot Paul Van Alstyne, 50, and his wife Ann, 37, were found strapped in their seats in the cockpit, conscious but suffering head injuries. Their son, Kevin, 7, was unhurt and ran from the plane to seek help. A Federal Aviation Administration spokesman said the couple’s twin-engine Cessna 414 crashed about 10 miles northeast of the airport after they diverted from fogged-in Friedman Memorial Airport near Sun Valley.
