For the second time in as many days, a car veered out of control and plowed into a sidewalk full of pedestrians in downtown Chicago on Tuesday, injuring the driver and four other people, police said.

On Monday, a cabdriver reportedly suffered a stroke and ran a red light at another busy intersection about a mile from Tuesday’s incident, causing a multi-car accident that injured 14 people, most of them pedestrians.
