TONY AWARDS WILL CONTINUE ON CBS
Broadway’s Tony Awards will continue to be seen on CBS under a new long-term agreement signed by the network and Tony Awards Productions, a new joint venture of The League of American Theaters and Producers and the American Theatre Wing. The awards were first carried on CBS in 1978.
Producer-director Don Mischer, an Emmy and Peabody Award winner, has been signed to produce the 41st annual Tony Awards next spring.
