Joe Barry Carroll expects to get the ball when the game is close.

Golden State went to Carroll, who scored 8 of his 28 points in the final four minutes to boost the Warriors to a 111-104 victory over the slumping Houston Rockets Thursday night at Houston.

“I’m an offensive player, so I’m always going to look for my shots,” Carroll said. “In the latter part of the game it became crucial to get the ball inside to me for a good high-percentage shot.”

The Warriors snapped a three-game losing streak and handed Houston its sixth home defeat of the season, one more than the Rockets had all last season.
