Northern Arizona Extends USIU Winless Streak

All but one Northern Arizona player scored as the Lumberjacks defeated winless USIU, 95-88, in a nonconference men’s basketball game in Flagstaff.

Forward David Duane scored 21 points to lead Northern Arizona (3-3). USIU (0-5) was led by guard Joe Yezbak, who had 29 points, mostly from the outside, while Kelley Andrews added 19 and Russ Hiekce added 18 points.

Northern Arizona took advantage of the shorter Gulls, out-rebounding USIU, 51-32. The Lumberjacks led by as many as 18 points in the second half, before USIU rallied.
