The United States Football League returns to federal court in New York this week in a new bid to restrict the power of the National Football League.
The USFL has asked Judge Peter Leisure, who presided over the 10-week jury trial, to order the NFL to divide its American Football and National Football conferences into separate economic bodies to compete against each other for television contracts and players.
