Reagan, Iran, Contras and Breaching the Public Trust

Share

Come on, let’s face it--Ronald Reagan will resign regardless of what the Congressional Select Committee discovers--and before discovering it.

Ronnie and Nancy can no longer play king and queen. They can no longer walk down those helicopter steps, smiling broadly and waving to their subjects. Reagan cannot have a press conference where he would appear more foolish than before. He cannot even read a speech on his three Teleprompters with a sense of sincerity.

The party is over. No need for a smoking gun. To play cowboy will be no more fun. It’s fade-out time. No more applause. No more curtain calls. The old actor has given his final performance in a ridiculous farce.
