Our family decided unanimously that the “Cheers” Thanksgiving show was the turkey of the year. With the number of folks who don’t eat these days increasing, the show’s food fight scene wasn’t funny. Maybe the writers thought the homeless issue was worn out, but couldn’t they have had Sam open the bar to feed the homeless? It sure would have meant more than showing adults throwing food at one another. Besides, food fights went out with toga parties and loud, premeditated belching. Shame on “Cheers”!
