Montebello : School Board Officers
Arthur M. Chavez has been selected president of the Montebello Unified School District Board of Education.
Willard G. Yamaguchi has been selected vice president of the five-member school board and Eleanor K. Chow was elected clerk. All terms are for one year.
School board members, who meet twice monthly, receive $600 per month. Under state law, the board members’ salary limit is tied to the average daily attendance of the district.
In the Montebello district, which has about 31,000 students, the limit is $750.
