Alamitos Sulky Meeting Opens
Los Alamitos, offering two daily triples instead of the Pick Six, opens a 78-night harness season tonight, with the first race at 7:30.
The triple, which offers bettors the chance to pick the winners of three straight races, will be available on races three through five and seven through nine. The minimum bet is $2.
Los Alamitos will race Friday through Tuesday, with an early post time of 5 p.m. on Sundays.
Tonight’s feature, the first race in the California Platinum series for fillies and mares, has been split into two divisions, with seven horses going in one and eight in the other.
Speed O Charger, entered in the second division, will be driven by Robert Sleeth, who recently won the title at Fairplex Park with 41 wins.
