A woman who wandered for two days in a snowstorm in remote eastern Utah after a snowmobile accident killed her companion was in good condition Sunday, authorities said.

Karen Waller of Sandy was treated at a hospital after her ordeal in the Bad Land Cliffs area about 80 miles southeast of Salt Lake City, Duchesne County Sheriff Clair Poulson said. She became disoriented while going for help after the snowmobile she was riding sheared off a tree.

Her companion, Roland Calvert, also of Sandy, suffered two broken ankles, a broken pelvis and internal injuries. He was found by cross-country skiers on Friday, and died about three hours later.
