Baby’s Body Found in Simi Valley Dumpster
The body of a newborn infant was found Tuesday wrapped in a plastic garbage bag in a dumpster behind a Simi Valley supermarket, police said.
A Simi Valley resident called police after he found the baby girl’s body while searching for cardboard boxes about noon behind an Alpha Beta store at 4473 Alamo St., Simi Valley Police Lt. Rick TerBorch said.
An autopsy determined that the girl was born early Tuesday and died a short time later, but did not determine the cause of death, according to a spokesman for the Ventura County coroner’s office. More tests were being conducted, he said.
