NEW DUTIES FOR STOUT AT KCBS-TV

Share

Bill Stout, who left his anchor’s seat at KCBS-TV Channel 2 this week to cover the inauguration of Gov. George Deukmejian in Sacramento, won’t be returning to the helm of the 4 p.m. newscast, station officials said Wednesday.

Instead, Stout will spend more time this year reporting on news about state government, according to Don Dunkel, KCBS’ acting news director. He will continue to be based in Los Angeles, however, and will offer commentaries on the 6 p.m. newscast.

Taking over as co-anchor of the 4 p.m. newscast is Dan Miller, who also co-anchors the Channel 2 news at 6 p.m.
