Texas Tech released an official letter from the National Collegiate Athletic Assn. alleging 25 recruiting violations by the school’s football program.
University officials originally said that no current players or coaches were involved in the charges. The NCAA document alleges that a Texas Tech player gave false or misleading information to investigators.
The letter charges Texas Tech with making illegal offers and cash payments and with providing meals and clothing to recruits or their families.
