Cal State Long Beach’s seventh-ranked women’s basketball team, coming off an impressive 33-point win at Nevada Las Vegas Monday night, will play its second Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. game tonight at San Diego State.

It will be the second of four straight road games for the 49ers, who have a 9-1 overall record. After the game against the Aztecs, they will play Saturday at UC Irvine and Monday at Cal State Fullerton before returning home for a showdown with sixth-ranked Louisiana Tech on Wednesday.

San Diego State, 3-7 overall and 0-1 in the PCAA, has lost three straight, among them a 75-60 decision Tuesday to Cal Poly Pomona, a Division II team.

UCLA, meanwhile, will put its 7-4 record on the line in a Pacific 10 Conference game tonight at Arizona State. The Bruins will be without forward Sandra VanEmbricqs for the seventh straight game. She has a strained knee. Dora Dome, averaging 15.3 points a game, and Jaime Brown, 11.5, have led or shared the team lead in scoring in all 11 games.

The Bruins are 1-1 in the Pac-10, while Arizona State is 0-2 after losing to the Oregon schools last week.
